The company was founded in1954 building on a previous craft business.

It was immediately directed towards the high-quality range of the maleand female sleepwear sectors and expanded towards the underwear and beach areas for men and women in the 1970s.

A first turning point was the launch, in 1973, of the Julipet line, enjoying immediate success thanks also to the astute advertising strategy with the actor Umberto Orsini as testimonial.

In 1985 two new brands were simultaneously launched on the market, which reinforced and differentiated the Arcte Group's image: Allen Cox, beachwear for the sporty and carefree man, and Argentovivo, women's sleepwear and beachwear with a sophisticated appeal.

The launch, in the 1993, of Bacirubati, a collection aimed at a young and emancipated female consumer, enriches and further develops the already abundant range of offers.
